have taken my desktop apart. Not exactly like "piece by piece". Don't be scared, hehe. But just waiting for an hour or so before Fry's Electronics open to buy a CPU fan that was making too much noise, and stuff. Also need to ship out another 40Gb IBM Deskstar HDD for repair. Yeah, yeah, all three Deskstar have failed on me, lost data and I had to spent (literally !) hours to recover the data. Thank's God and my mother and father that I know a little about computers. :o)
That's why I hate IBM HDDs lately. 20Gb Seagate I am using as an OS drive has been to WAY MORE bumps, shakes and stuff, but it survived ! When IBMs sucked straight up.
Eh.. PC life is short. :o(

Ah, and let me tell you the story how IBM Customer Care fools people. :o) A little bit. They require to ship failed hard drives in the foam rubber (porolon) to make sure they are not gonna be dumped or static shortened during shipping. So I had to look all over the place just to buy a sheet of porolon to satisfy their shipping requirements and could not find any. OK, my last chance was Walmart. But they don't sell raw materials. So I had to buy (just think) a foam rubber liner for the bed matress (!?!) and than cut it to pieces and fill the box up with that! Hehe, foam rubber liner was definitely wasted two times. :o)
OK, but what happens next. In return I get a simple goofy carton box with my new hard drive in it. And, instead of what they themselves require I see a cheep simple plastic wrap! Cheaters! :o)
